COVID-19 Data Science Project
As a part of the preparation for my analyst position at Optum, I was assigned a data science project dealing with publicly available COVID-19 data for the month of March in each US state. I conducted analysis of the growth rates of the number of infections and modeled the data using the widely cited exponential model for COVID-19. This allowed me to make predictions and provide insights into the destructive potential of the virus, as well as shed light on how unrealistic a true exponential model is.
